Beauty Group London backs the next generation of beauty founders, bringing strategic investment, deep industry expertise and a network built across decades in the sector to brands moving from concept through to commercial scale.
The brief was to build a brand that carried the weight of that experience. One that looked like it belonged alongside the luxury beauty houses it invests in, while speaking directly to the founders building the brands of tomorrow.
One of the first things Saltco resolved was the monogram. The name had long been shortened to BGL, but as a mark, it did not work. We moved to BG: cleaner, more flexible, and far more resolved as a logo. The full wordmark sits beneath it. From that one decision, the whole identity followed.
A monogram built to carry a heritage name forward.
The BG monogram, uppercase, set within a precise circular frame, rendered in Cormorant, was designed to work as a stamp of quality.
For any beauty brand coming into contact with Beauty Group London, that mark on a piece of correspondence or a meeting room wall should mean something. The design draws on the language of heritage luxury, the circular enclosure, the Garamond-inspired serif letterforms, the restrained spacing, without feeling like it is looking backwards. Set against a palette of Forest, Clay, Smoke and Cashmere, it feels contemporary and considered in equal measure.
Brand guidelines cover every application: logo usage, the full colour system, typeface hierarchy, Cormorant for display, Barlow for body copy, the block device for callout copy, and photography direction. Everything a team needs to use the brand consistently, without having to make decisions from scratch each time.
